Water Level Guide:
Not Recommended: 0-150 CFS (Cubic Feet/Second)
Wild Bear will more than likely close if the water levels are in this range. If you have pre-booked, we will call you to reschedule or refund if applicable.
Low: 150-300 CFS
Low river levels are less than ideal for tubing. You should expect 3 – 4 hour float times with walking required in multiple spots along the way. We have many guests who still choose to float when the river is low and have a good time; however, being in good physical condition is highly recommended. With low water levels and a very rocky river bed, water shoes/protective footwear are extremely important.
Average: 300-500 CFS
This is the most ideal condition for floating the river. You should expect 2 – 3 hour float times with minimal rapids in a few areas of the river. You will see exposed rocks, making water shoes/protective footwear recommended.
High: 500-800 CFS
High water levels are a result of heavy rainfall and can result in additional age restrictions. The river may be a bit muddy due to storms and the heavy rain. You should expect a 1.5 – 2 hour float time when water levels are high with some rapids along the way. Being in a natural water-way with rocks, water shoes are still recommended when water levels are high.
